Very spooky painting. I spent a good deal of my time at the Louvre standing in different positions in the Mona Lisa room and her eyes followed me where ever I stood. Gave me shivers.

It looks like the people could care less about Mona. In Just about every picture, they were looking everywhere but at Ms. Lisa.

The Louvre is one of the most fantastic places on Earth.

Looks like they've done some changes since I was there last. From what I remember the Mona Lisa was in a reasonably small room with dark color walls and the barrier was there also. We were allowed to take photographs but with no flash, naturally being a clutz with a camera my flash went off and I had to scurry out of the room before someone caught me. My visit was on the day that they opened the glass triangle things up.

Apparently there is a name for the technique of painting eyes where they seem to follow you no matter where you stand in the same room, naturally I've forgotten the name for it but it's something like "Following Eye technique"

: )
i like the name even.... "following eye technique" : )
