When in a sad mood, at least try to smile. Stretch your lips and shape them to look like a smile. You could also start by trying to draw somewhat happier little drawings. Something, do something to make yourself a bit more balanced. It is probably not a good thing to be overly joyous or overly happy, but when really sad, try to at least somehow steer yourself into some middle of the scale by balancing the world around you in some ways, some ways, some ways.
I am not doing so well. Below is my attempt to balance my current feeling. Hmm... it does make me smile... (it is pretty silly, isn't it?)...

i'm sorry you're not doing well. wish i could help. i try to remember what i've learned with age: this too shall pass. hope it does. :)
One day I was really sad and realized that there are so many plates at home, which are never used. So I developed a habit of throwing unused plates when no one is home and I am sad/angry. I am not sure if it makes me feel any better afterwards. But I am glad I am not so well behaved any more.
Monkey Business! Don't worry Witold, I'm sure you'll feel better soon.
I hope you feel better soon, Witold... It's true that even small moments of fun can make a person feel better. Sometimes when I feel I'm in an unrelentingly grey mood, I look at your wonderful drawings which make me smile.
trzymaj sie tam...czasami jest ciezko, to fakt, ale predzej czy pozniej dobry humor powraca. badz dobrej mysli, niedlugo wszystko wroci na dobre tory :)
I know what you mean! I went 9 days without posting because I just didn't feel like it. Your image, and the images of the Praxiteles Satyr that just went on display in Rome made me smile.
hey witold. sorry to hear about your down day. this new york spring is not really helping matters...been in the doldrums myself. but your drawings always bring a smile to my face. that crazy creative energy spilling out of your brain reminds me just how beautiful the world is. thanks.
i wish i could draw, and i envy those that can...i mean, i'm sure i could attempt it, but i have no artistic talent in that respect, whatsoever. so, i doodle...that's my "art" and i find myself doing it, all the time.
i hope your drawings help perk you back up, witold! ;-)
that's a wonderful monkey! i don't have a webcam, but i took a photo of my neighbor's garden for you... does it help? (sorry, hope it doesn't take ages to load... haven't had time to do it properly ...)
if it doesn't work, then i think i like the idea of throwing plates, too :-)
when they make a movie of my life story
will you animate it?
