phoenix plant?... (2)

As just recently mentioned here the incredible little red-leaved plant is not only back from the dead and surviving, it is blooming!

witold, it looks like some kind of african violet to me... (though I could be wrong!)
don't eat it, I don't think she would like that...

when I first moved to San Francisco, I bought a little one with purple flowers, and over the next few years it grew and grew and bloomed like crazy! once I counted, and it had over 50 flowers blooming at once.

definitely a begonia! the flower is the clue.
