Electro-lagged?

Could this possibly be electric-radiation-deprivation? Could I be suffering from something like that? Could a night spent in a Manhattan apartment without electricity, only filled with microwaves from cellphone transmissions and the unavoidable radio signals (allright, there were quarks involved as well,) have such a long lasting effect? I feel as if I had traveled through several time zones and ended up in a parallel New York that appears to have all the elements of the city I love, but which really is a completely different place.
It must be me. The tiniest disruption in my silly routines makes it barely possible for me to draw, to write, to do anything... seriously...
This is really quite odd. (Maybe it is the peanut butter and Jelly?, the avoidance of perishable foods?)
Who would have thought that my ability to do things could be so dependent on outer factors... wait no... who would have thought that my perception of my ability to do things could be so dependent on my perception of what influence outside factors have on me... who would have thought that my perception of the perception of... (aagh, stop that.)
(Am I just looking for something, or someone, to blame?)
I should probably close this entry now...
Please disregard, please disregard, draft mode, draft mode, delete, delete, delete...

Dear Mr Reidel,

I read your site today and I wanted to voice my objections over your completely baseless conjecture that peanut butter might have been the cause for your inability to draw and write or do anything.

Peanut butter, and especially Jif brand peanut butter, is a nutritious and wholesome foodstuff which is full of vitamins (especially Niacin and vitamin E) and contains virtually no trans-fat.

Furthermore, scientists at Jif International Peanut Butter Research Center in Research Triangle Park, NC ("JIPBRC-RTP") are in the middle of many large studies which seem to indicate, among other things, that four tablespoons of Jif brand peanut butter three times a day decreases stress by 17% and shows increases in the following areas: creativity by 57%, libido by 14% and general work productivity by 83%.

We have also received approval from the FDA to begin two Phase III studies for the medicinal use of Jif brand peanut butter. One study, to begin in March 2004, will be for migraines in humans and the other, to begin in June 2004, will be for canine juvenille onset arthritis.

Phase II studies are being run as I write for the use of Jif in felines for hairball relief.

This posting is an informal one. I have not yet contacted our lawyers about what I read today, but I suggest that you do consider deleting the above post as soon as possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions about my posting or about Jif brand peanut better in general.

Sincerely yours,

Peter Bergman
Director, JIPBRC-RTP

I was intending to leave a comment for WT and just had to smile about the JIPBRC-RTP; of course, we know what choosy mothers choose.

And, the reason for my comment - a note to WT: I am enjoying your recent posts and experiencing the after-effects of the NYC blackout through your eyes.
